I believe the true essence of a city lies in its older streets. They make me travel back in time and relish the traditional beliefs/culture. This thought makes me explore the lanes less traveled by the millennials. One such place in Bangalore is the K R Flower Market.
Even if you’re not a flower person, this place deserves a visit. The vendors gear up as early as 4:00 a.m. to kick start the day and wrap up by 9:00 p.m. The use of fresh flowers is extensive in the South Indian temples and homes (just an observant point). The floral view here pleases the eye and freshens the soul. The earthy fragrance of fresh flowers is refreshing. I was in awe when I came to know about this place and was eager to visit.
Apart from the mesmerizing floral view, this place offers local to exotic varieties of flowers, fruits, and vegetables at a very affordable price. The right time to visit K R Flower Market is when the sun is shining bright, the natural lights will aid in better photography. I paid a visit around 4:00 p.m. This market is a busiest and overcrowded one. But, the flower vendors are very accommodating to allow photography. Every angle of this place is a treat for the eyes and is very picturesque.
